When I decided it was time for a
companion around the house, I did a lot
of research to find the right dog for me. I
would decide on a certain breed, then
see it in action and just as quickly change
my mind. Then I started reading about
the Havanese and knew it was the breed
for me. The fact that I had new grand
children, and daughters who visited me
with their pets, made a lot of difference.
There was a cat, Pit Bull, Boston Terrier,
and even a Sun Conure Parrot to
consider along with my three
grand-children under 5, ( I now have 4
under 7).The Havanese breed is known
for its love for humans as well as all
types of animals and it hasn't been
proven wrong here. The next biggest
challenge was to find a breeder who
would let me come visit, and I lucked out
and found Amber. She and her dogs
welcomed me in with open arms and that
was when I first saw Moxie. It was all
over, I knew he was the dog for me and
still is.

I brought Moxie home at the age of
10 weeks. He has been my constant
companion ever since. I received
such enjoyment from him that I
added Mattie to my family. The rest
